Ruby Rose & Jasmine Body Scrub

This ruby-coloured body scrub is a decadent gift to oneself or a loved one. Scented with organic rose and jasmine, this sugar scrub sweetly exfoliates and leaves you feeling renewed.

Yields 1 120 mL glass jar

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup (112g) cane sugar
• 1/8 tsp (1g) red mica
• 1 tbsp (4g) rose petals (ground)
• 2 tbsp (20g) apricot kernel oil
• 2 tbsp (24g) aloe vera gel (inner fillet or whole)
• 5 drops jasmine essential oil
• 5 drops rose essential oil
• 1/8 tsp tinosan

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, measure the cane sugar, red mica, rose petals, and blend thoroughly.
2. Add apricot oil and aloe gel and mix well.
3. Add the essential oils and Tinosan. Ensure everything is evenly blended. 
4. Using a spatula, add mixture to the glass jar (you may need to tap the jar to fit it all in).
5. Seal jar and label. Keep refrigerated and enjoy within one month.

To Use

While in the bath or shower, scoop a palm-sized amount of scrub with a spoon, taking care not to let water into the jar. Massage into the body and rinse with warm water.

Take care exiting the shower as oils may make the tub slippery.
