Yields: 3 1/2 cups

Ingredients:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/4 cup macadamia nuts (or cashews)
  • 2 cups oat milk (or your choice of milk substitute)
  • 1 Tbsp hemp hearts
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup - optional
  • 1-2 scoops of unflavoured collagen (we like the Natural Factors Total Body Collagen) - omit to make plant-based

For an additional immune or brain boost, add mushroom powders such as Lion's Mane, Reishi, Chaga, etc.

Directions:

  1. Prepare your nuts by soaking them overnight in a bowl of water.
  2. To a high-speed blender, add milk, drained nuts, maple syrup, bananas, hemp hearts, and spices and blend until smooth on high.
  3. On low speed, slowly add collagen and mushroom powders (if you choose to add them).
  4. For a thinner consistency, add more of your chosen milk alternative.
  5. Transfer into cups and enjoy as a healthy, hearty snack.
